Attitude era icon who feuded with Undertaker and Triple H looks unrecognisable in complete career ch

When you've spent a career chokeslamming rivals in WWE your next move will always be an intriguing one.

It's no different for Glenn Jacobs. who you might know better known as Kane, the Big Red Machine and half brother of the Undertaker.

Instead of throwing foes to the mat and getting a 1, 2, 3, the former world champion is now the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.

The Attitude era icon made the surprising career change in 2018 and he looks nothing like the masked man that WWE fans became so used to seeing in the ring.

The 53-year-old Jacobs posted a picture to his Instagram from a recent meet and greet, posing in a blue suit, a far-cry from his WWE costume.

As a wrestler, Kane was a three-time world champion and he won a total of 19 championships, including the tag-team titles nine times.

Standing at 6ft 9in tall, Kane was a formidable force in the ring and he beat 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin in his first pay-per-view event in 1988.

He had a notorious feud with The Undertaker, but the pair also fought alongside each other as 'The Brothers of Destruction' in a tag team.

This was not Kane's only feud, as he was involved in a bitter rivalry with Triple H ahead of their match billed 'No Mercy'.

And while Triple H would go on to win the match, at one point Kane choke-slammed his opponent onto a car.

But, this was nothing out of the ordinary for the WWE Hall-of-Famer who was known for his gruesome tactics in the ring.

As part of his character's story-line, he was said to have had a tormented childhood and he took this out on his opponents.

For example, he hooked up a car battery to Shane McMahon's privates, he set The Undertaker on fire in a casket, he locked Paul Bearer in a freezer and pushed him to his supposed death and buried his brother in concrete.

Nowadays, Jacobs remains in the public eye, but in a more understated capacity as a politician.

Not that fans will forget ever forget judging by the comments in all of his social media posts.
