Two teenagers deliberately run over a cyclist to film and kill him

Two teenagers intentionally hit a cyclist with their car, who was killed by the brutal impact in the deliberate hit-and-run near West Centennial Parkway in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In the video, the 17-year-old driver can be heard planning to run over the cyclist while his friend laughed and filmed with his mobile phone from inside the vehicle. The two boys can be heard saying "Ready?" and "Yeah, hit him in the ass" while laughing before taking the life of Andreas Probst, a 64-year-old retired police officer who was riding his bicycle on a bike path.

Probst, who was hit from behind by the car, was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Fox News commentator Greg Gutfeld described the deliberate hit-and-run of Andreas Probst as "a public execution".

Video used as evidence

The video of the hit-and-run recorded by the youths has been used as evidence to arrest them.

The video shows the fatal hit-and-run of the two youths, and led to the arrest of the 17-year-old driver and his transfer to the Juvenile Detention Centre.

The video of Probst's death was shared on social media by celebrated actor James Woods, famous for his work in films such as Once Upon a Time in America, Casino, Vampires, Ghosts of the Past, Videodrome, Salvador and Contact.

"They stole a car and murdered an innocent man for a laugh. When will it end? And more importantly how will it end?" wrote James Woods on X (Twitter).

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the hit-and-run of Probst occurred on August 14, but the video evidence has just been released.

There have been no charges against the passenger who filmed the fatal accident and apparently encouraged the driver to go ahead.
